Dream on CH, sorry, but as we've argued many times before your blind faith stuff about magic carpet, citroen suspensioned ribs is just b*****ks, go out in a decent well ballanced HB and just like any decent well ballanced rib, it's a great ride!

JF sorry to be piccy but Stainles Steel works in the majority of ribs for fuel tanks,sorry.

And its not my fault,But I have alli tanks and if they are as good without the weight then its only fair to report it also.

having gone from 16 foot plancraft sabre & 16 foot driver speedboats to similar sized ribs with similar vee angle they are clearly a less jarring ride

especially when you forget your footpump like I did the other day and you go out with the tubes really flopping around you, half inflated !!

It then becomes a fine balancing point of comfort V risk of sinking !!

For a clear comparison you must find a piece of foam approx
1-1/2" thick, put it on the floor of your rib, sit on it with your legs straight out in front of you, then drive as fast as you can! now you're comparing like for like, of course, there are are 100 other reasons why you may feel the rib is better, to just look at the hull visualy tells you very little, a difference in the width of the spray rails of 6mm can completely change the way a boat handles and feels, it's a delicate ballance.
Of course, your rib may just be a much better boat than your sports boats were (I had a very bad experience with a 560 driver once resulting in a 72mph involantary dissmount, see warped deadrise!).
I've been in horrid ribs, and i've been in horrid hard boats!
Clearly you are very happy with your rib, so thats cool, I'm not on here to try and convert you back to sports boats, I'll leave converting people to the jehovah witnesses !

Hi,

what about comparing the ride in ribs and small power cats in big waves offshore?
What type of boat will perform better? Lots of whitewater fishing guys in the u. s. for example choose the cats for their trips.

Just thinking...
