Ribcraft build quality is far superior to Rib-X and I have lots of experience with both makes. I personally wouldn't even consider a Rib-X

With a family of four and two growing children I think you'll find anything sub 5m limiting quite quickly. I'd push for 5m+ RC5.3 with 4 single jockey, ribeye 550 etc

That was my thinking for getting my Ribeye 600. Great sea-keeping from the deep v hull & big enough for two adults & two children.
