A few options for you-

1: http://www.redbayboats.com/

2: http://www.musto.com/ and http://www.geckoheadgear.com/

this may be cheaper than option 1 !

we had a 5.3m humber attaque with a cabin in The Falklands. Cuddy fitted into a slot in the bow, some velcro on the tubes and 4 ratchet straps. Strange visual effects onboard as the cabin top sorta moved with the tubes.

I think I recognise that launch site though I use the other side of the wrecks. I guess that is the Falklands Conservation rib? Seen it once before, no idea where they hide it.

The local diver's Humber has got a similar sort of thing, cuddy attached to the tubes. I don't seem to have a photo of it and his website has only got pictures of his big shiny new 14m catamaran on it

It lives, or lived, in a container down towards the canache somewhere. Probably still in there with cobwebs on it. The cuddy was good for keeping the wind off, especially that delightful, albeit a tad chilly, southerly.

Hi again,
the Humber is the look i thought about.
I am looking forward to a long winter season in my garage.
My problem would be the inside bean of only 106 cm between tubes.
On the pic is the state of the moment with the selfbuild console-

Thanks you all for your tips
Mike

Humber may still have the mould for it I suppose. But whether they could be bothered to find it/measure it/ or make it is another matter entirely

Its for my Searider 5,4.

Thanks Mike

Another Option, not put forward.

Do you have a pet dog?

You could then leave the wife at home. Possibly cheaper all round.

Though of course at the risk of you sleeping in the kennel with the dog.

Searider 5.4m Pilothouse

I have been collaborating with Adam (Previous post by him) on a pilothouse. He has given me a lot of valuable input and the benefit of going out on his RIB which helped tremendously in defining my design. The idea is to make a light structure to keep out spray and sun, as well as provide a place for two to sleep out of the wind and mist.

Current state of the build. Cardboard mock-up to check the fit, pilothouse with foam-cored glass panels at the bottom and foam-cored wood panels for the top. Last pic shows dash layout.
