One thing that boat could do with is a windscreen - easy to make - do a search on here for it. If the boat and engine is in good nick I would be tempted - don't forget to haggle big style - cash waved under the nose usually does the trick!!!

Perhaps I need to bring you along to haggle!!! Just received some more pickies about the Renegade 6.5m. It is a Porters Renegade (well it says Porters on a great big sticker on the tube).

The original stickers were larger. Not sure when they changed to smaller ones.

Experts is it

All you might learn from us lot is how not to do things

Have a look at the Priory Bay Picnic Cruise (not far & ideal for the family!).

Some of us will stay over on the IOW so bring the camping gear!

I know this will sound like a daft question, but how do you fit all the camping gear in (with people). When we go camping, the car is full to the brim - we like camping in comfort - inflatable beds, big tent, bbq, etc. Do you just chuck it all in, chuck a tarpuline over the top and whizz off into the sunset - sounds great I just didn't think we would be able to do that.

RIBase
When I camp anywhere like that I use cheap gear- 10 tents and lilos etc so if it gets trashed then it doesn't matter.

BBQ's and so on are easier if you buy disposable.

All the good gear is kept for proper campsites.

Isn't there a roof-box or trailer available for the rib! Perhaps I could organise for a DHL delivery of stuff!

Only kidding - good idea.

Yeh, so when you take on a wave and lose off Yarmouth you don't worry about water damage
