Rib Upholstery - Scotland

Can anyone recommend an upholsterer to recover the seating on my rib?

Ideally they would be based West/Central Scotland, provide good value personal service......

Thanks.

I can't recommend anyone from experience, but a new trademember, ScotSeats, recently joined here from that part of the world. They supply seats to Redbay. I assume they can do re-upolstery too?

Might be worth talking to Owen Sails, Benderloch. I got some vinyl off them a while back. They had loads of shaped foam for jockey seats etc. and said they did a lot of work for RIBs.

Depends on where you are but Sally at Jessail does a very good job, does good covers as well. Her number is 07771 970 578.

I provided the bit of wood and a local upholsterer near Lochgilphead did mine for around £20 each. Been on a year with no problems.

I've used Sally at Jessail to recover RIB seats - she's very good and reasonably prriced, but she does get very busy, so it can take a while to get the work completed.

I can't remember his name or number at the moment but he is based halfway between Cairnbaan and Crinan.
He does all upholstery including motorcycles, settees etc, a real old fashioned type business where you can get anything done. If I can remember his number I'll post it, I usually just dropped in when I am passing to drop off and pick up on a very irregular basis if I am passing.

I've been busy, so hadn't seen this, - yep, I'd go with the guy at Bellanoch on the crinan canal - I'll go round that way in a day or so and get the details, I chatted to him ages ago, and he said lots of his work was boat based stuff -
he's in the next building to Tim that sells boats, goes under Atlantic ribs,

Upholsterer - 01546 830123

Do you mean "Atlantic RIBs" at Ballanach Garage Crinan. Phone 07900 654 862. Think there was something in Oban Times a week or so ago about him moving premises.
