Rib polish

Hi sorry if this has been done to death, but what's the best polish/wax home made concoction for keeping hypalon tubes looking good.
Our little rib is now about 16 years old and the tubes have never had any special treatment other than a wash off
There still in excellent nick having been kept indoors all its life but my son thinks I neglect it and says if I buy the Polish he'll do it for me!
Can't pass up an offer like that so had a search on the forum .
I can't find anything after entering tube polish and a few other search terms into the search
So what's the general opinion on which product gives best looks& protection
Cheers
Ken

I bought the cleaning kit off ribshop and used that today. Worked a treat for me!

Has a cleaning fluid bottle, scouring pad and a oil wax type stuff you put on afterwards to bead the water away.

I've used the Polymarine inflatable boat finish a couple of times and it gives a good result.

Past discussion.

Well Klear has changed its name but is still available and, completely unusefully, I can't remember what it's now called. But, I bought the equivalent from ebay in a 5 liter container a couple of years ago, Here - It looks the same, smells the same, sticks to your hands the same and, most importantly, does exactly the same job. I gave my boat a wee single refresher coat last week because it's been two years since it was last done. Been doing it now for years and it doesn't appear to cause any problem to the fabric. It's very shiny though!

Colonite!!! Sound like something you'd buy from a chemist for constipation😳
" by 'eck lass, I'm feeling a bit bunged up" " here, love, have a couple of spoonsfull of Colonite, that'll shift it"

anytime i have looked at 303 it was like double the price of "rib" stuff.

perhaps i have been looking at the wrong stuff?

303 Aerospace Protectant - Clean Your Car

i have always used this, doesn't give much of a shine so happy to change and pay more if 303 does that? it says satin finish on this link though so not sure if they make a different one?

http://www.marinescene.co.uk/product...ewmhoCG7_w_wcB

i have bought lots of rib finishes and they all suck ass TBH in the shine stakes.

that link is to .com...need to pay duty/vat etc on that?

one day i will find something that shines that works for the tubes.

i did apply something silicon based once and it looked amazing but won't help in future in case of repairs so i stripped it off within 24 hours when i twigged.

i have in my rib cleaning box about 5 bottles from various makers and they are all crap to varying degrees, some are downright not fit for purpose as a "polish" unless streaks is the purpose!

i do giggle at the some of the bottles when they say "buff to desired shine". it should read "you can buff this down till cows come home to no effect"
