Yep

Does the hull have a drain plug fitted? is there any water in the hull that could be unbalancing the rib.
Nope... Roy seems adimant that the engine height is the issue.... not the first time by the sounds of it...

Would that be port or starboard ?

The Cavitation Plate is 1 & 1/4inch Above the hull line.

The prop is a Mercury Lazer II and is a 19P... and has 48-16544 on it.

There engine is fitted with 1 inch to spare on the top of the transome.

Downhilldai... is this the same as yours ??

Err, no, but not too far off.
I've also run the motor 20mm lower and had none of the problems you're experiencing.
Keep an eye on the water pressure if you experiment with raising the motor further. I reckon you may get some prop slip in tight turns if you do.

I worried about that too.. but Roy seems adimant... and if anyone knows about Ospreys hey should !

As it doesnt involve cutting the transome, i'm going to give it a go I think... I can't live with the problem so somethings got to give !

With all due respect to the Bish, DHDai owns exactly the same rig as you, so he might have the edge.
