Rib Net Logo

Slap me if you think I'm being stupid, but I seem to think that everyone who has a RIB should be on RIB NET.

It would appear not.

I have spoken to a couple of people with RIBs and enquired if they are on RIB Net to which I get vacant stares.

Is there any Logo etc we can mark our boats with so I don't keep making a fool of myself.

Or is that too Nerdy.

Maybe a secret Handshake !! Nudge, Nudge, Wink, Wink, Say No More !!!!!

It's a small triangular flag.

The yachtis go mad about them, they are used to show membership off a club etc, and are normally flown above any ensign you have at the top of the mast.

I have mine on the A frame above the jolly roger.

A large elastic band tied around the A frame for little Leprechauns to jump off. Mind you if they get the tension wrong they hit their little heads on the transom. You don't want to be around when that happens - they get right pissed off !!!!!!

Burgee - VHF Antenna

Right I know what a Burgee is now.

Seems like a good idea. I just need to get my hands on one. Any idea where you can buy them.

Alos whilst I am here, I don't have a flagpole so I was thinking of getting a VHF antenna to hang some flags on. I presume I'll to tie them on with elastic bands.

Anyway the question is, as I was looking at various different ones to day at the boat show, do they all do the same job.

I don't have a fixed VHF set yet but will be getting one over the winter. Because of this can I go ahead now and buy any old Antenna to fit on my boat and hang some of them little flags, Or maybe a nice big one, or do I need to wait until I buy the VHF set and get a specific antenna.
