RIB magazines

What's available and what's any good in the way of RIB magazines? I bought a couple of boating ones while I was over in the UK in July but they seem to mostly focus on the £200k+ high speed gin palace brigade, rather than anything that is relevant to somebody with an old Humber... i.e. I might buy one occasionally, but don't want a years sub.

What is the best one - looking for an "enthusiast" type of mag. There doesn't seem to be much mention of magazines on here but I guess they do exist.

Thanks

Stephen

Hi Stephen,

Sportsboat and Rib magazine is OK for smaller boats. A good overall mix of lower end of price range.

And Boat Mart is OK, if a little repetitive, but not much in the way of RIBS.

There are a couple of RIB specific magazines as well, but I've not managed to find those yet!

Cheers

Neil

RIB International....lots of talk on here about it in the past. Some like it, some think it needs improvement, but as far as I know its the only RIB specific mag out there.

RIB International is the only magazine that deals solely with RIB matters. It is published every second month and they will accept overseas subscriptions.
The content of the publication is variable, but overall it is the best available.

Hi Stephen,

The link to RIB International is:

http://www.ribmagazine.com/

If you search through previous threads you will find much said about RI, some good, some bad, but as said previously it is the only dedicated RIB magazine in the UK. Personally, I think it has significantly improved this year.

You can subscribe online, £34/year including worldwide delivery, which will get you 6 issues.

Hope this is useful,

Jim
