Rib Magazine
Just got my Dec/Jan issue today. What has happened to the paper quality? Its absolutely shocking. No point of taking good photos if you are going to print them on newspaper!

The last edition Of Rib Mag (approx 2 months ago) was on good paper. I thought that the quality of the articles had improved also.

I'm an online subscriber now. Its not too bad to flick through and if you have an ipad then even easier I should think.
I found it useful that if you want to print a few pages you can do.
I agree though that a nicely printed magazine is better to read.

I can say that the qaulity of the paper inside the mag is shocking. RIB Magazine, ordered a new paper along with the other titles Oyster House publishes, according to a sample given by their printers. It turned out that once RIB and one other mag was printed on it it looked and felt aweful.
I know dad is in discussion with the printers working to resolve this for the next issue, far from going south and although working on the online editions also, RIB I know is here to stay and has lots in store from what Ive seen, along with RIBEX so no need to fear it following the sad news of Sportsboat.
Hopefully that paper will not be in the next issue. Although I do not work for the magazine, nor can I speak for dad regards the magazine, the above is what Ive observed when popping into their office.

I contacted the Editor, he said they were not happy with the paper quality so the next issues will be using the glossy paper as before.
