RIBEX

RIBEX is the original Rib Club ... "RIB EXpeditions" formed by Chris Kaye (iirc) well known for fantastic cruising exploits some years ago. Not to be confused with Ribex the RIB boatshow run by a certain Rib magazine.

As for groupies......think rock stars and the type of groupies they attract.....then think about Alan Priddy!

As the Alan from Maldon............

I'd just like to say that I would be extemely insulted to be confused with Alan Priddy, mind you probably not as much as he would about being confused with me!

Too many Alans on this forum. Confusion rules!

Future gor groupies

Of course there is a future for groupies!

We would only be so lucky in Holland...the only ones that show any interrest in us are the water police and they don't look one bit like water-babes (to me anyway...).

I guess I'll just have to wait a bit longer for the odd mermaid to show up in front of my boat...
Or maybe it is time to plan that cruise to cross the pond

We have got mermaids over here - but they tend to spend more time in the bar rather than the water!
They are rather unusual mermaids!

Unusual...

As I am up for anything (!) unusual and have been spotted in a bar once or twice (...) I am getting more interrested by the minute...

But I am confused (you will learn I get confused quite easily) are you now a water babe diguised as a mermaid or a mermaid pretending to be a water babe?????

G,
How many do you need? There are a few.

It's quality not quantity!

I agree - quality every time - so long as there is enough quality to go around.

How many do we need - how many you got?

This is a bit of a catch 22 question!

G, where have you put your lovely, sparkly, new stickers?

Hey, is there a second prize for the second longest thread?

One of my stickers is already proudly displayed in my Freelander.

I havent yet decided where to strategically place the other one - any suggestions?

(still waiting to find out how many of you there are - or how many of you Groupies / Water Babes will be there for the SOC weekend)

G

Merbabes...

You tell me Nadia...Only thing I know is that my Welsh brother-in-law doesn't fit the bill for either babe nor mermaid...Not that I want to make an immediate comparison.

Will not be around for SOC...as the trip doesn't include Holland we cannot recognize it as an actual trip 'round the globe.
And we have such nice ports here...completely free of charge...but noooooo, Alan 'd rather pay a bundle for some last watering hole in Russia...

Anyway, I would have liked to see the babes/mermaids as well as the inside of an original Cardiff bar...better luck next time!

BTW, Lehmann...isn't that Swiss?

Eddy, you may have a welsh brother-in-law, but I have got a swiss one. Re the surname, let's just say I have a mixed background.

Shame you are not coming to Cardiff - you sure now?
I know the SOC is not going via Holland, all the more reason to come to Cardiff!!!

G - been anywhere exciting in your Freelander recently? I must admit, I like 4 wheel drives.
Re the number of mermaids in Cardiff - you can count them yourself when you get here; I don't teally pay too much attention to the others, more interested in checking out the mermales!

Keep in touch - not long now till Cardiff and we all have to meet each other - so careful what you say in your postings!!!

Nadia

Been lots of interesting places in the Freelander - but the most exciting trip is to come - picking up my Brand new RIB on Thursday - then taking her to the coast for her first launch on Friday.

Cant Wait !!!
