Anchor the boat inside the harbour & generally chill out & be 20 mins from Poole/ Solent by boat .

Or go 'expensive' and moor outside ;

a bit further up the river.

I have done both and loved it !

Thanks Peter, the beach huts look like a real load of fun, kids out the front door and straight onto the beach. Brill!

The cost of renting one of the challets was around £300 per week. We all enjoyed it so much plans are afoot to return again next year.

P.s. The "midges" wern't that bad, But the "Cleggs" were evil !
Thanks Seabay, realy great value and a good location too.

Any further suggestions for 2011?

We don't have a tent, but are more than happy to go for a static caravan, log cabin etc anywhere within 2 hours from Bristol, for 5 adults, 2 dogs .... but with easy access to slipway to launch 6.00 m rib using ordinary car, not 4wd. All suggestions welcome!

Quiet campsite. We have a static touring caravan on hard standing with mains electric and lpg included that will sleep 2 adults and a youngster ( to 5'8''ish ). Another child could sleep in awning on airbed if needed.

Sorry but no dogs and no smoking.

Less than 5 miles to free launching at Mylor Harbour.
Usable around 3/4 hours either side of HW
Opens up Carrick Roads, Falmouth Bay, Helford River etc.
Even coastal hops to Fowey in just over an hour.
Hard standing to park car and 5mtr ish rib
Not much availability left this summer but may be useful for the future.

Here's the link

Click on 'view more details'
then 'price, availability and offers'

Mr. Fraser, I presume?

Look out, the 'trade membership police' will be along soon.

As you say Mollers, the Frasers take my pitch fee.
I'll keep an eye open for the flashing blue lights.
How do you put smiley faces in?
