The rope got caught round their prop by the looks, can see a couple of them frantically trying to free it before hand. ouch

The rescue services & coastguard, had elected to not recover the yacht, due to the conditions and the fact it was beached and "safe"

Rnli training with the Atlantic 21 & 75 was that when deploying the Anchor & veering in onto a lee shore ,
The anchor is to be dropped outside the surf line
one engine was to be stopped & tilted up out of the way ,
with the other engine reversing and stretching the nylon anchor line that way if it clobbers a rock or theres engine failure the stretch of the nylon anchor line ( up to 50% stretch before parting )will pull the boat back out to sea past the surf line with the other tilted engine used for back up .
Can't beat a twin set up .
