RIB Bow Protector/Rubber

I'm sure it was last week but somebody asked about a bow protector - a bit like a rubber protector you stick down the bow and along the button to prevent damage when grounding the boat on beaches/shingle.

I've been looking for one on RIB shop but can't find anything, could anyone point me in the direction of one?

I think it's called a Keelguard - quite expensive by the look for them for what they are.

Thanks

Thanks, £100 per meter is pricey but worth it I suppose.

I had mine fitted here ... Boat repair, boat repairs, fibreglass boat repair, fibreglass boat repair, gelcoat repair, yacht painting, yacht restoration, yacht refit - Pedros Yacht Refinishing in Devon

Very expensive at about £160 per metre. They usually only do the bow section or the first third of the keel.

The stuff they used on mine is fitted using a 2 pack adhesive and I understand that its not exactly an easy job.

Its been on there 2 years now and I launch and recover solo from a concrete slip about 60 times a year, also I very often run up on the river beach to buy live sandeel before I head out to sea.......... this stuff is magic and tough as old boots. Once washed it just has a few tiny scratches and no wear at all.

I will be buying a new Zodiac 550 next year and it will go to Pedro's for the keel protection to be fitted before I even think about launching it !
