Rib 4 Macmillan

On the other hand I have be able to have the use of Ribnet to do this project which is now quite famous.

To do this on an open forum is amazing

That's a fair point Pete, just to clarify about this one project and non of the other shyte that went on before, Whisper wrote the article and it's been printed word for word, HMS has agreed to mention all the people who built it including the businesses and he's upped the article content from 2.000 words to 3.500 and again this will be written by whisper, most people know there is no love lost between HMS and me but in this case he has been more than fair, his mag relies on ads to pay the way and he's donated a vast amount of that space to our cause, so if you're sending the RIBnet police anywhere you need to head for the ginger ninjas place

Totally agree and I'm not knocking RIBNET at all. Its a fantastic place to do so,etching like this. If it wasn't via this outlet it could have been another forum that you've helped get all this awareness too. Without your work I don't think they'd have any publicity at the boat show, for example! That's worth supporting, surely...

I'm just a little surprised the company (not the admin) haven't chosen to support it, maybe they have and I'm not aware. In which case I'm wrong.

Anyway let's not take the focus away from the genuinely amazing work you've all done. Keep it up

They probably don't even know about it. Social Knowledge has very little to do with the day to day running of the forums and they generally just leave us alone to do our thing.

Pleased to have finally played a very small part in this project. Biff was on great form and it was good to meet Jill & Steve from Henshaws as it was obvious how pleased they were to be involved.

I know many have played a part, but Alex has quite obviously put his heart and soul (not to mention his credit card!) into getting Rib 4 Macmillan to this point, and I'd suggest it would not have happened but for his total commitment and dogged determination. By this afternoon he looked physically and emotionally drained, but I think we've managed to persuade him to take tomorrow off to recharge his batteries for the final push at the weekend.

Really hope there are people out there prepared to bid the sort of figure it deserves to make for Macmillan but those of you who've played a part should be very proud of the achievement, whatever the winning bid on Sunday.

Hit the wall today!

Had a great day, everyone has been so great!

I have to say the PSP Southampton Boat Show is great! I love it here, what fantastic place to end this project.

Everyone loves the boat, we have loads of people everyday pouring over the rib, it's been great.

Telling our story, countless times a day is very tough, what we have done really does move everyone.

Bucket donations are very low, but we're not here for donations, we're here to show off the great work and donations from you lot!

Every stand in the show knows of us, and every day the Rib 4 Macmillan gets a announcement with what it's all about!

I wish you could all be here to experience it, so please come along if you can!

I'm taking the day off tomorrow to chill out.

Thank you everyone, what an awesome project!

Come Sunday at 5pm , what will be will be

Alex

About time too!! You can't carry on giving 200% without a break. Without your dedication this project wouldn't have been anywhere so successful. Enjoy your day off.

He's right #PSPSBS14 has a fantastic atmosphere, and everyone we speak to loves us and our project. Even is it's only(!) to visit our stand you should come to the show.
