Hi Jono,

I have not been on this model. However, I have been in a Revenger 29 and the seats were terrible: Too wide to provide any lateral support & too hard to provide any comfort.

If they have not addressed these problems I would suggest having jockeys fitted.

Cheers.

Apparently the engine and propulsion system is exclusive to EPS.

Yes I saw this as well - drooled like hell over it - bloody big V8 with a nice looking supercharger bolted on - that was definitely a surface drive I saw!

its an ecodrive surface drive... cheap at 7k.. i think theyre currently trying to squeeze another 100hp out of it.. not sure the performance figures add upto the additional expense though.

If it lasts longer than a Bravo 3 then it would be Does it need a seperate gearbox or is it one unit like a normal outdrive?

surface drives are NOTHING like a conventional outdrive - they have a normal gearbox with a straight shaft coming out supported by a bracket - more like a normal shaft drive arrangement - where they differ is that they stick further out from the back of the boat and the props run almost on the surface.

prob most famous of them all

Unlike Z drives surface drives operate in a straight line - FAR more logical.

Just spotted this site - similar system to the Eco Drive - on their website they show a Scorpion 10.5m fitted with their drive!
