Required documents?

Just a quick question - what documents do you HAVE to have when taking/using a boat in Spain.

Many thanks

If using the boat as a holidaymaker as apposed to a resident, certainly an ICC certificate. Got mine as an add on with a SBDA (ski boat drive award) Poss an SSP (small ship passport) and insurance docs/invoice copy.

This might not be all, but cant think of anything else

Registration Document (SSR / Part 1)
Ship’s Radio Licence
Proof of insurance & translation
Proof that VAT has been paid
If your vessel was built or imported into the EEA after 16 th June 1998, you will also need proof that your vessel is RCD Compliant.

Personal Papers:
Valid passport for every person on board (obviously)
VHF Operators Licence
Certificate of competence (ICC) required for the skipper

If you are staying for long there are also some tax rules - see rya pages http://www.rya.org.uk/Cruising/defau...tentID=3548015
