Xylene works IMHO often better than acethone to remove stuff, but no idea how the pvc will handle it. Fairy power spray works in some aplications as a light duty paint stripper if left on for enough time, that might be worth a try?

I'll try everything that's safe to use (not nitro mors)

I've allready got a tin of black ready to go on.

The grey has literally been slapped on so black should cover all the bad bits

Well the first paint stripper test is underway. It took the whole tub to do the top of the port tube so I reckon 5 tubs would be needed to do the whole thing. I tried it different thicknesses on different areas to see how the paint reacted.

The instructions say it can be left for 24 hours so I'll monitor it and see if any paint comes off

Well after 8 hours it never really dented the paint

I washed the stripper off and the bubbles started appearing from under the rubbing strake!

Just like a scab you can't leave alone the rubbing strake was ripped off to reveal the biggest patchwork rib I've ever seen!
