Redbay ribs

Had a good look at the 8.4 open at Southampton, seems like quite solid boat but wondered what the reputation was like amongst people here! Lets compare to Ribcraft! (What would you rather own?!)

The rib in the pic is a bit of a departure for Redbay, she's, um, very pretty

I was at the Redbay factory a few weeks ago and I have to say I was very impressed by the layup and finish. One of the models had a monocoque deck construction which looked incredibly strong. I would have no concerns with a Redbay!!

Had a good look at it, similar colours to the pic above however it had a DF300, my only concern was that it was not quite as well fitted out, what I mean by that is the little details such as the fitting of the electronics and the location of bilge pump etc

I'd rather compare the hull, tubes and fixed parts to see which is the better boat. You can source and get fitted any engine/electronics/bilge pump etc by other professionals.

Also I'd never judge final fit out by a show boat. They nearly all seem rushed to get them there.

Focus on peoples experience of handling and durability. Then fit the minor parts to the champion for your circumstance!

Or buy a nice ex demo from someone at a nice discount like we did!

Understand what you mean but when buying a Ribcraft the whole fit out is done in house to an exceptionally high level so it’s hard not to compare.
