Redbay 16m leaves the page...

...and begins life in the new workshop.

As I don't have the time for BookFace (generally) I missed this. Linky.

Its only when you physically see the completed plug that you get an idea of just how big 16m actually is.

When the going gets tough the tough get to built a big boat

Go Team Redbay

Aye, 16m is a fair whack of boat. I wonder are they planning a less complex/pricey prototype boat than the passenger concept? The Pilot boat concept would prove the hull for now and give time to, um, "hold discussions" with the MCA about future passenger numbers.

So new engine/leg combo for them presumably? I guess they'll be needing someone to test that to destruction! I wonder if DD had already sent in his CV?

Whatever gave you that idea?

It's just that they don't allow them as carry-on luggage

Whaoooooooooooooooo - what a vessel

I know that my opinion is fatally flawed but you have to have massive respect for a small boat building company in the Glens of Antrim that have the vision, determination, resources and craftsmanship to build such an awesome small ship - maybe no surpise as all these qualities are in the DNA of all Redbay RIBs

As a bloke with pointy ears said "live long and prosper"

Wow, they are amazing. There's some awesome you tube films of them in rough seas. Never seen one in the flesh though.
