Hi Willk,

Do you know why there are no guardrails? It looks like the hand rail is the only place to hang fenders from and that would make going forward with them in place a bit "It's a knockout".

Yup,

'cos they couldn't wait to go playing in her

They've fitted a lot more steel since, including a stern gantry with MOB hoist. She actually has attachment points on the deck sides for fenders but the scale of the boat dwarfs them.

Most Pilot boats have no guard rails due to the nature of their work ie to allow unrestricted movement of the Pilot when boarding/disembarking a ship.
