Some of you will have seen the pics of the launch of Psalm VIII, that I took earlier in the week. This was the chase boat. In truth, it wasn't much of a chase

We ended up taking Psalm VIII for a spin to take some photos of the 1050 (with Gary at the helm) but we couldn't get close! The John Deere does help with the perspective above.

So what's to say? Well, she's big, she's fast, she's dry and she's quiet There were five of us on board and she ripped forward from 30kts to over 50kts. I was carrying my land camera and was visibly nervous about risking it in a fast open boat, but Tom poo-pooed my concerns - he was right - not one drop did I catch. The ScotSeats are a great job, but in truth the rib was sucking up most of the wee bumps that we were getting in the piddly F3-4 that we had.

Superb!

It really does look like a boat full of diddy people, the scale is so weird seeing an open boat THAT big.

Where can I get an antenna the size of the one in the first picture? Truely impressive and must give excellent coverage all over Ireland ...

I had considered photoshopping it out - but that would be unethical*, and I knew that at least one of yis would get a certain pleasure in pointing it out. Enjoy

I am GREEN with envy Willk!!
That caravan park in the background is where my dad has a van. I could have been with you within an hour from Belfast!!! (OK 3 from where I'm working in Dublin)

I launch there in Cushendall quite a lot.

Oh well at least I did not disappoint!

Seriously though, I would love to see that boat in a commercial Sea Safari layout, it does look indestructable.

I gathered that was part of the intended market - the existing 11m hull wasn't quite wide enough to get two double rows all the way forward.
