Recommendation for training in Scotland

Hi all,

New user and have found this site great for rib talk, and am keen to finally succumb to buying my first boat. I have decided that a rib would suit my needs and desires, but would like to get the training under my belt first (the powerboat to level2 training looks sensible).

I'm on the east coast of Scotland, so was hoping for any recommendations in Scotland for this course. Travel is not too much of an issue though, so potentially taking one down south would work also. I'd like to bring my 11 year old son also to get him started early and safely.

I'd like to do this it this month or early next, and am very flexible with dates. Any pointers to a good place/people for this would be welcome

Port Edgar marina, below the Forth road bridge, is where I took mine. All seemed fine. Ollie Ludlow is (was?) head of the sea school.

Watersports centre on Cumbrae, national centre so courses are subsidised and good quality.
Can recommend them with lots of kit to use and good accom.
