Is that boat only ( no engine) on a trailer ?

If its the whole lot its either a bargian or liable to be scam or about to sink ?

What age is it ?

If its a decent hull and tubed by someone 'good' it 'could' be OK ...but an engine + buts + seats will cost another maybe up to £1500 if you factor in all the bits etc
....

just my thoughts

The guy said it was retubed before he bought it and does not know who did it but he said it cost 750 to retube it does that sound about right as I thought a retube would be more than that. ?

Hmmm. sounds very cheap to me (for a decent retube)...even my alarm bells are ringing now and its not my money.

Have you got a pic or any other details ? Is it the orange one on ebay ?

Nothing, providing the bearings are ok. It's a snipe trailer, pretty basic, but perfectly suitable for that boat.

I don't, but several members do.. ;-)

Could well be a nice little boat...I'd be asking about transom and deck integrity..the transom has several extra holes..filled and other wise used. I'd put an offset on the throttle so its not so closer to the wheel, tidy up the cables with some spiral wrap, stick some mudguards on the trailer, give the whole lot a good polish and the console some tlc. And turn you could have a good one..

Engine is ideal and has a reputation for being fairly bullet proof.

Id not bother with dials..keep it simple like they were designed.

All that if the transom is fully dry...which would be my big question. But for 750 with the engine to be negotiated....worth serious serious consideration.

It has a curved tube on it instead of the original sectional version. It looks as though it is Hypalon as opposed to PVC, i've got a feeling I might have retubed that quite a few years back!

I'm in Plymouth not sure I can get over before the end of the auction though. Shall I call him to see if something can be arranged for tomorrow morning ? Might be the best I can offer at the moment, according to my better half I'm still supposed to be off work, good job she's not using Ribnet

Yep...however if Ed did the tube some time ago it was probably worth it being done when he did it. However let's say that's maybe three or four years ago which is long enough for it to start to rot, but it could be fine!

Now i know that's the boat in question that's the only thing I'd worry about.

If only it was closer...
