Need someone in the Southampton or surrounding area that can re cover all of the seats on one of our RIBs, any suggestions / reccomendations?

I have had some very good reports about the guys at Thornham marina.
I dont know their name (usefull, I know), but they are behind JBT. I am sure Riva will part with their details.

On a similiar note anybody know where I could buy a couple of bits of marine ply to make seat bases from? A local upholsterer says he'll make me bases for my new seats for £30 apiece if I can supply the wood base.
Had a look at Fleabay and the local wood suppliers but I can only buy a full sheet, looking for an online place that will sell offcuts?

I will get some stick for this but....

Use some ordinary WBP (exterior grade) ply. A whole sheet will cost less than a 1/4 sheet of the marine stuff. Hopefully your seat base will not be permanently submerged or subject to excessive force, so you do not need the extra quality.
Make sure you seal it well. Several coats of paint, varnish or resin on both sides and most importantly the edges.

Im just having mine done by GV Sails (http://www.gvsails.co.uk/) in warsash - should be done early next week, will let you know how it went

Price is about 520+vat for 5xJockey seats, and a bench seat, including wood for bases and foam.

Another unhelpful post as I can't remember the name, but there's a small company at Mercury Yacht Harbour at Hamble. Give the marina office a ring and they'll give you the company name.
