Rayglass Protectors

Rayglass have told me that mine is the 5th Cabin rib that they have sent to the UK. Does anyone know where the other 4 are?

If you mean a cabin with an open back - there's one on the Isle of Man belonging to a bloke called George in Port St Mary (I think) - we charted him and the boat last summer for a movie as the dive / safety boat.

The one that hangs around the Isle of wight is owned by an Olympic yachtsman who won Silver in the Games before Athens. I think he coached someone called Sheila who won Gold.

I've done a couple of Corporate days with him but I can't remember his name. I think he was a coach on one of the America's cup missions and he originally bought it for that Event...... Ben Somebody maybe?

Alex
There is also one in Torquay marina. I think it is owned by an "official" of the local yacht club as it it is always out when races are on in the bay.

I'm pretty sure that Protector RIBs UK www.protectorribs.co.uk had a cabin boat as there demonstrator 2 or three years ago. This may be the one that is on the Hamble.

Anyone know if Protector RIBs UK is still going (and if they ever sold any boats)?

John

Didn't go for Aquapro simply for looks and cabin layout. Purely a personel choice.

I envested all the prize money I got from attacking frenchies when I was in the Royal Navy.

There will be plenty of pictures when she gets here (currently in the Pacific between New Zealand and Panama Canal)

But here are some from the builders just to keep you going.

WOW!
Definately not jealous, and I don't want to appear over critical or give the impression I'm just looking for something bad to say but if you take a close look at the bloke stood at the front of the trailer he's a bit overweight.
Kernow
PS the other 4 Protectors are mine.

This is the one on Torquay Marina. Used as a safety boat for the Melges yachts when there racing. Got a 300 Yanmar through a Bravo 3 drive.
