Have managed to get a couple of "free" evenings to play.
Got some measurements from the plans and mocked up some parts from foam board and card. The basic structure seems to be ok, with just a bit of modification needed to get bow profile right. Tubes need to be bulked out to get proportions right
I am now going to make the same hull from balsa and plastic sheet, add the chines and when I feel it is right, make a glass mould. I can then produce a one piece hull for fitting out.
Thought I would use as a toy in the winter months and if I get the quality right, use as a display model for a future business.
Looks good, I've still got a model I started making when I was serving my time, got carried away with the lay up, you'd struggle to puncture the bottom!
