question for cobra owners.....

why do some cobras have metal/stainless steel plates with a couple of large bolts thru them near the front of the boat, maybe 6 or 8 ft back, on the outside a foot or so under the tubes. some cobras have them and some dont. there were a few cobras at east head this weekend and it has always perplexed me what they are for

my local cobra expert has no idea either!!!

still think they are lovely looking boats and usually owned by family folks or folks doing charters it would seem.

Got a lifting eye on the other side i suspect, bolted through the hull with a plate on the underside for strength.

ah of course, that makes sense

mine has two eyes on the transom and one down the front so did not consider that some may have two down the front
