Because the Projet only draws 14 inches of water - simple as that. There are places I want to go to where I need a boat with a draught that shallow.

Looking at the jetski/RIB hybrids here I doubt there would be much difference to our jet RIB.

Bet the engine in yours will last a damn sight longer too...

I have a boating buddy who suffers from the same affliction. You daren't leave a garden hose running or he'd arrive up the flow in a SIB n Paddle. You lot must be the only people praying for Global Warming so you can tie up in Tesco's carpark...

Only trouble is if you try and get a boat to do two differnt jobs they usually end up not very good for either !
Cant have a shollow draft and a deep V for sea handling !

Just have to get a jet ski and a Rib !

I know what you're saying but the draft of most 6m ribs is between 14 and 18 inches which is fairly shallow. Actually, I am considering a jetski as it happens. The new Yamaha FX SHO is sooooo nice. It does 56kts at WOT, 0-30 in 1.8 seconds but costs less than my ETec.

That's why we built the Jet RIB! Of course it's not as fast as a jet ski, but it does only use a miserly 22LPH (of diesel) at Wide Open Throttle!

About the same as my Vipermax...

I should have added that it is particularly good at handling rough weather as well, the weight of the diesel and the underfloor tank helps it handle anything you would want to be out in!
