I didn't realise it was self adhesive. As to being harder it depends on the rubbing strip!!!

It is not rubber but hard plastic & you need it worm or it will not bend!

Yep, you may be able to do it with a short length by heating it up on say a radiator & quickly fitting it B4 it cools down, but I would want to be in the worm to do it!
