Just been looking at his site again and lifted this

"The two most popular of our RIBs are the 6.5m and the 7.5m both excellent RIBs but are quite different.

The 6.5m is an ideal Dive RIB, because of the Hull shape it will easily get up on to the plane with the smallest of HP. The 6.5m are a shallower V hull with 18" tubes giving maximum stability when at rest. This makes an ideal starting RIB whether you want to use it for Diving or a family cruising RIB.

The 7.5m is based on a very deep V and has standard 18" tubes which tend to run clear of the water giving this RIB very good high speeds and excellent capabilities in rough sea conditions, because of this the 7.5 is not as stable at rest as the smaller 6.5 but has much better sea keeping capabilities."

No, Simmo's just come back from Guernsey and told us that the web-site is out of date. Do try to keep up, Paul!!

Your homework is to read from here: http://rib.net/forum/showthread.php?...&pagenumber=18

Surely you're not thinking of dumping poor little Zebedee so soon? You are a cruel and callous man!

As both Jahno and I are from the East Midlands of England I don't think this phrase comes into it. Bearing in mind your origination Paul, you have clearly become one of these brainwashed into thinking civilisation stops at Watford and it's just a wasteland north of there!

Ok, the website is very out of date.

Most if not all of the Prosport hulls are 23.5 degrees. the 6m included.
The 6.5m mould (yes it is a different mould) has been replaced since the discription on the website and is now an incredibly deep vee at 26 degrees. So it is the deepest of all the Prosports.
Jason might confirm this but thats my understanding of what he said.

Thanks Richard upto speed now

LOUISE - you taught me well - don't settle for second best keep looking

Ian - As you point out yes I live in the south and am also from the south and from my point of view civilisation stops east of Howth. Thinking about it, with my origions, I have more in common with NWribsters location than you guys from the midlands.

Jackeens

You don't want a Posport. I can't think of any better Boat , for a rugged man and a lovely lady than a Camel.

I might be able to let you have it for 97p , and that comes complete with a mechanic.

Cheers
Stuart

Advertising is advertising whether it's paid for or FOC. The fact that there are a number of people interested in this manufacturer and also a number on order justifies the threads and posts.
If you look in the directories on many forums you will see adverts that are free to submit, but at least with the forums you get a story to allow you to decide whether you are interested or not.

So when my PRO SPORT RIBS LTD of GUERNSEY rib arrives in March I'll have my Missus on the rib with me, wouldn't dream of having her stand on the quayside while us lads play.
Equality to all, so she says, and as she's the boss, I agree.

Rogue, is that a bit of free advertising there? Bit expensive for a rib that struggles to reach 6 knots.

Schhhhh! I'll have you know that Missus J thinks the Camels a very pretty boat, If they negotiate well they might get it for 75p and of course the free mechanic is an incentive.

regarding the sped at least you'll never get in to trouble with the Harbourmaster

Her choice me thinks. Don't try to land me in it with her, I am more than capable of doing that myself.

A fRAME

Just got this for my 9m pro sport, it will sit over the console and there will be a canvass running from this to the double a frame at the back. This has a screen on the front.

Will post more pics when its being fitted.

Ian and Jono, how's things? You've had those boats a couple of months now and you've gone all quiet on us -- too busy boating to go online now?
