well, after reading this thread, my mind is made up, im gonna buy a 2kg for the Revenger to use as a secondary anchor on favourite trips to Pilots Cove and Ty Coch pub at Porthdinllaen, and a 1kg n 2kg for the SR4, should do the trick nicley

Was just a case of which would fit in the hatch for me !

If I could have got a 2kg to fit I'd have had that. The bigger the better I think - but think anything more than 7.5kg for a RIb ( unless its a 10m beast) would hold in nearly all sensible situations you could get.

I am wondering now what the RNLI atlantics use ?..they hang off them in some proper surf when needed and dont have too much of an issue.

That's what I have on my Ribeye a 5 and 2Kg + a 2 and 1kg for the SR4

2kg bruce ordered, also 8m of 6mm chain and 30 m of 8mm anchor warp. That should hold a sr4 pretty well
