Cheers lads.

Got it all masked up last night ready for spraying today, unfortunately the temperature differential in the shed has caused the boat to "sweat" and there is a fine film of dampness on the hull so ive put it off for a warmer day. I washed the floor last night to keep the dust down but I fear the evaporation has added to the dampness.

The clock is ticking!

I'm hoping top coat goes on as well.

I'm still undecided about the colour, I've got some gloss black for it but I'm thinking that going back to red might be the way to go.

What d'ya all think?

The primer is a 2K polykote filler primer.

the topcoat is a 2K acrythane.

Well, my tub is now dog cock red! Pleased with the finish, may wet sand and lay another coat on tomorrow, il see how it turns out. The only blemish is a drip from the gun as I hadn't screwed the lid on correctly, it right on the keel and it can stay there. There is a bit of "orange peel", maybe I didn't have the gun set up correctly, il soon get rid of that.

A big thanks goes to Nugent, he supplied the paint and some know how to get the job done. I'm not a sprayer, infact this'll be my first try but I'm glad I did it. A good learning curve.

you know you're going to sand out that drip and do 1 more coat .

bit of work with the buffer will have it very very nice if you go that far.

cheers
