Project LOMAC

Another sad tale. Will not be getting on the water this week. Went to fire up the engine today and it ran really rough and would not idle. Messed around checking the obvious most of the day. Eventually called my mobile mechanic and asked him to drop by at the end of the day. All credit to the guy, he did not get here until after dark, about 8 pm. Problem is the carbs. are gummed up and have rotten seals due to ethanol petrol sitting in them. Gonna have to have all 3 carbs rebuilt with ethanol proof seals. Don't ask the cost. The problem became obvious when the choke was pressed in and the rpm went up 1000. Spoke to my buddy Ken who is in charge of all boating facilities in AZ and he confirmed that they had to have all the engines on their 10 boats
fixed for the same problem. Ho Hum!!!!
