Yeah, right.

Riighht... 1L of petrol will get you approx... 6-7 miles on land..
1L of petrol will get you approx... 1 mile at sea? (depending on model!)

Besides, living on peninsula's does not work.. if i wanted to go to Fort William, i'd have to go round ardnamurchan, go down the sound of mull, and head up loch linhe! which would be 200 miles or something, rather than 50 miles by car?

i need an excuse to have a rib rather than a car... and even living on an island there would be a ferry, and they would have a local shop / post office... The ferry runs out to Mallaig.. which has shops, and a train station... but to visit my parents i would still need a car!
Hopeless eh!

Prestige is made by a South African boat manufacturer, Prestige Inflatables (http://www.prestige-boats.co.za/). This particular model, the Prestige 600, was tested in one of the Swedish boat magazines last year and received a good review if my memory serves me right.
