Thats the pressure relief valve designed to work inline witha pump to avoid over inflation. You only use it whilst you are inflating the tube.

Sorry just realised that it was Tom is talking about (its red after all)

Tom, I don't think you can leave that one installed full time to avoid the risk of overinflation due to Sun on the tubes.

Just spoken to Henshaws and they can fit the Leafield valves without cutting the tube open for 30 per valve.

They also suggested just doing the side chambers as the baffles would absorb any overpressure in the front chamber.

Chris at Henshaws also said they could do it while you wait!!

No, we have a fitting here at ribeye supplied with the bit, which screws in, your right about the pump section but it also is a stand alone relief valve. But will try it first, and let you know.

with an A6 valve if you are careful you can cut a hole in the tube just big enough to force the back part of the valve through and then screw in the outer using sikaflex to seal .you have to be very careful .valves cost approx 8 +vat and delivery
