It's a bit mixed. The production values are much better and it really looks like a proper magazine now, although there's still the occasional little lapse.

There are quite a few new contributors and there is some good writing, but it's not all to the same standard. I don't think that will ever change.

Still it's good enough that I don't begrudge £20 for a year's subscription and it's a long time since I've been a subscriber.

Points taken Biff and John but as someone who stop my sub a few years back I was pleasantly surprised that it had on the whole got better. For £20 a year in was I thought better value for money. You are never going to meet everyone's needs but it's a good all rounder.

Good to here some solid opinions. I got fed up when the mag was always bias towards the companies that advertised with them. You may think well why not and you might be right. It was so oblivious that I stopped buying it. Ill give you an example. There were quite a few articles where they did write ups on cruises etc and the wording would go like. In the pic is mr xxx in his boat which was described and named and following up is a blue rib. You can guess who was advertising. It wasn't objective

Didn't look at the end result mate, but quite possibly, it would make sense, I just blamed the whole mag, it was easier

I have been very impressed with both the copies i have recieved , lots of interest if you like boats and engines etc .
Iam still finding myself going back to the first copy and finding more to read A far better buy than the repetitive boring motorcycle mags i usually buy.
If it wasn't for the freebie i would never have found it .

The last two magazines are certainly a marked improvement on the "middle years" Plenty of scope for expansion online
