Can you view older copies on line also??
Yep, you can view older copies on line so long as you have a current subscription, so as soon as you don't renew you can't see the old editions (or new ones obviously), if that makes sense?

The trouble is from my experience as a builder of ribs and I suspect this is the same for other trade members is that on the occasions we try to impart our experience and knowledge which has been gathered through years of trial, errors and experiments we get some other guy who's on his second rib telling us we're talking bollocks, after a while it gets annoying.
Although I do this for a living it doesn't stop me offering free impartial advise to help other less experienced ribbers. God know I can rant and be grumpy with the best of them but I like to think I could help someone without getting the crap kick out of me by someone who's just done his first channel crossing.
Well that's my thoughts on it and I guess this happen every day of the week over most trades
I see where you're coming from - I hate it when people who have little experience try and give out advice and it's either plain wrong or worse still potentially dangerous - anyone remember the Toluene incident?

Whilst I take your point biffer/cookee. It's all a sliding scale of knowledge. I may be no boat builder but I believe can offer new starters some help on some topics.

I guess on here the real problem is people who won't accept others views or ideas, just blindly think they're right and tell the OP a more experienced person's view is wrong. Then the OP is in a quandary as to who to believe. That said, if you want a professional opinion, pay for it. That's the definition of a "professional".

So, who wants some financial advice..... We can all start by getting rid of our boats!!

If someone does give poor advice here there's normally no shortage of people ready to help put things right though.
