Olly

Hi.

Looks good, but a couple of questions.

Could you adapt the trailer you had built?

Do you really want another project that needs tube repairs?

Must be a misprint. I thought £10 was the going rate for a boat in that condition.

It's a beater...

they ought to be paying YOU for hauling it away, remember, any "project" always costs more than you initially think it will. That's why it is called a project, you are projecting the time and money it will take for making it right again. I would lowball them big time and then cut that amount in half!

Question
Are you sure its a tornado ? the reason I ask is looking at the picture of the hull from the bow, that looks like the bow tubes are screwed on with the rest being a bolt rope design. All the Tornado's I've seen are glue on tubes.
I think there will be a lot of work on this one and at that price I'd walk away.
But thats my view having spent many years on a rolling rebuild of my redbay.

I believe this is a version done especially for the military/MOD, it looks to me like a 5.1 hull, shallow V with the difference of being a bolt on tube, this is one seriously scraggy boat, ..... is'nt there a fibreglass mill somewhere in Europe? .... this could be turned in to a great road surface.

Its a military tornado which had Teflon tubes, but the tubes look to have had it. A grand is waaay too much for that boat in its condition.
