Porters 4.5 RIB

hello all
I've seen a Porters 4.5m rib with tohatsu 25 hp engine for sale and was wondering if anyone could give me some info on the set up, build quality, is 25hp enough? approx speed? pull an inflatable? all advice appreciated thanks.

I used to have a 55 on my 4.3m humber - and it would jump on the plane very quick and was ok for pulling a skier.

top speed was 33 knots.

25 sounds a little low for that length of boat. but thats just my guess ive never been in anything other than a SIB with that small of an engine.

It depends on what you are going to use the boat for. If its days out 4 up and pulling toys/ skiing as Roy says 25HP will not be enough. My shallow v 4m with a 40HP is lively, but I would think 25 HP would be underpowered.

regards

When I first bought my RIB i took it out on a couple of test runs using and old 25hp I had. Would just about get on the plane with 3 up. 40hp is a good size for that size of boat.
