Actually 0.5m!!!

Looking at the prosport website it says

L.O.A 8.8m (29ft 4)
B.O.A 2.7 (8ft 9)
Internal Length 8m (26ft 4)
Internal Beam 1.8 (5ft)

Which is nearer to 9m than 8.5!!! 8.8 just sounds silly!!!!

Of course when it comes time for me to have a berth it will have shrunk to 8m!!!!!!!!!!!

I use Davis's boatyard (right next to Cobbs). They are cheaper and friendlier, and the guy who takes your launch money is an ex-copper who lives in the boatyard. He's helpful and has eyes like a hawk. The yard is locked at night too. The only drawback is that you're limited to 1 hour before/after LW neap or 2 hours before/after LW spring tides. You might have fun with a 9m there though as there's a bend in the slip at the top but it's definitely worth checking out before going into Cobbs.

I don't know if they'd do that -launch and parking fees are one and the same thing at Davis's-you only pay once and the 2 yards are in direct competition but hell, give it a try .It's worth checking out the slip anyway-There's a pontoon with a walkway to it right next to the slip too so you don't even have to get aboard during launching. As you turn right into Cobbs with the barrier in front of you the entrance to Davis's is on your right down the fork in the road. The 2 yards are only separated by a wall. There's plenty of room to turn round in Davis's too if you find you can't use their slip.
