Pontoon boats

For my AS level design tech. coursework I decided to design and construct a pontoon boat. They seem to be quite popular in America, so it was loosly based on an American design. Over there they use them for fishing, as well as a "base" for water skiing and speedboating.

I've had the boat at home for a week now, and a few people have commented on how great it is, and how it would be great on the Broads for fishing etc.

Now, I had this crazy idea to get someone to build them, and then sell them!

Below is a photo of my project; the design would have to be refined a bit (and yes, the floats are supposed to have pointed ends, but I ran out of time), but you get the idea.

What do you people think about this craft; do you think there would be a market for this sort of thing?

Bloody Fantastic Mate..........

well done. I've seen these things in Florida where they have them 5 times larger with tables and chairs, BBQ's etc. Bloody good fun and very stable if not a littel slow at getting you where you wanna go !

Can't help you with the production I'm afraid but come the day you have one to market let me know as I'd be more than happy to purchase a few for onward sale.

Best of British to you....

Graeme.
