So how far would 20 litres get you? Half fill an injector??

And I was getting upset at my fuel bills!

20 litres wouldn't even fill the Chief Eng's coffee mug, I swear he drinks the stuff...

As for catching fire, that's why we carry more firefighting kit than a small town... although it's still interesting being alongside a burning vessel even with four monitors spraying the thing....

Nothing like receiving a call stating "fire on board" when the vessel is a 450,000 crude carrier... toss the coin, respond or go away fast....

450,000 tons of crude is nothing - it's when one of those gas ships catches fire you need to start worrying.......

I can't beat you guys with your boat fires but going back to the reason for this thread I saw a measly 20 Liter fuel can go up once and I thought that was impressive. Especially as it was at night. It was quite funny in a way as well as someone was holding the can at the time, as he tried to fill a hot but extinguished burner, and he didn't know what to do with the can with all the flames coming out of it. Luckily their were no injuries.

20L Plastic Jerry Cans

Hi all,
I have just seen this thread. I do a range of Military specification, 20L Plastic Crush proof Petrol & Diesel Jerry Cans. I am the only UK distributer of these and import from the USA. I also do a fully compatable compresed air fuel transfer system either hand pump or compressor which is ideal for filling PWC or dock side refuelling. No need to lift cans etc. Happy also to help with fuel issues. These Jerry cans are used by the US, Canadian & Aus armed forces and are likely to replace the UK version in the near future for NATO commonality. The openings are threaded on the inside as well as the outside to fit the transfer system. Normal uk 50's claw type really poor air seals therefore air pressure transfer difficult. Also plastic are great as no corrosion. Easily carried transported land / water.

Have a look at our site for the product range.

http://www.2012marinerestoration.co.uk and have a click on fuel transfer full spec of the cans can be found on the site.

Dont be fooled by cheap imitations....

These are the same units I had described previously - made in Canada by Scepter.
