Too complicated.....

Hi guys,
in Germany we use a sort of plastic jerrycan that we call "Huehnersdorf Kanister". These are made from extra-thick black plastik and are very, very strong indeed- won`t even blow up in the hot sumer sun.... They hold 22 liters of fuel. Now the trick: They also make a removable device or armature that screws on these "Kanisters" in seconds, it has a little fuelfilter at its end which reaches all the way down into the can. So in case my built-in tank gets empty, I drag one of these black bastards out of it´s storage, plug and screw the armature in it, connect it to my fuel line, pump 3 times and off I go again- this will also work in a swell when you`re not able to pour anything into a regular tank-opening no more.....
greetings,
Wolfie

-filling up- use a syphon and place the filling can higher than the main tank.
- Jerry cans metal - 25 liters. Dont worry about the legal side nobody knows
anyway.Use an earthing wire as well.

Besides you can have just as good" bang " with 10 liters as 25 liters - the only difference being the 10 liter "bang " will go on longer than the 25 liter bang. Incidently why do we call them "jerry" cans??- dont tell me the bosch
invented them!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want a 25 liter plastic can , go along to local garage friend and ask him for an empty 25 liter plastic oil can. Mind you these days I dont seem to have many garage friends left since I sold my A6 and brought a Sorento.
( which incidently will outrun a BMWX5, ANY LANDROVER, and pull 3000 kgs)
