Plans for Summer 2010

Is anyone else, at this time of year, in the dark, cold, windy, rainy weather, thinking about, planning for, dreaming about, next summer? And their plans for cruising when the good weather comes?

I know I am.

My first wheeze is to go from the Isle of Man up to the Inner Hebrides, stopping at Tobermory on Mull for one night and then going out through the Outer Hebrides to St. Kilda, somewhere I have always wanted to go.
Perhaps a trip for earlier in the season, perhaps even before the midges get out!

Later, probably August-ish? I will be performing guard duty for Keith Hart's
trip by SIB around Cape Wrath (brave man!). This is being planned in some detail at the moment with a stop at Kinlochbervie by us to collect Keith who will arrive by road with his SIB. Then after another heroic effort by him and a pal, we will escort him into somewhere along that northern coast, maybe as far as Bettyhill.

In between these trips I hope to be called upon to do safety boat cover in the Irish Sea (RB 2010?, IOM Offshore Powerboating 2010?).

make it to channel islands after several years of trying!!!

just got back from holiday and spent much time whilst sitting in the hot tub thinking about next years plans!!!
