Pimp my Rib with Flexiteek decking

Has anyone used this stuff or self installed/layed it before?

Mine came up a couple of years ago. Was a nightmare to re seal. In the end I pulled it up cleaned all the adhesive off which took ages and gave it to Ribcraft to sort. Apparently it needs a tonne of weight and warmth to make it stick then a bead of sika round the edge.

Are you making a mini Impulse!!!!!

Great stuff, had it on our commercial ribs for years, always ask for it, hard wearing, looks good and today I high pressure hosed this one just to bring back to new

Yes I have laid the single planks you can get, which I would not recommend and I have installed a deck supplied from a template.

Laying the planks individually is not great as you don't get to fill the gaps with caulking as you would with real teak/iroko. So you get small gaps where the mitre joints are not quite presice. Where as if you make a template of the area and get one of the many companies out there to make the deck to that pattern with a nice border around the edge and a single plank up the middle wider than the others you just lay the whole unit down on combed adhesive, like putting tiles up in the bathroom. Lay some planks of timber over the deck with some weights on and in 24 hours it will be good to go....

If you get it. I want it to.!! Had it and loved it... Changes the feel of a rib to real leisure quality.. (not sure it goes with orange)

Advice i was given... Let a pro do it....

Actually it has nitrous oxide in it to make up for only having 123hp at the prop!
