The anti-fog stuff makes rain bead up if applied to the outside-maybe I should have said!

As a power boat racer this is right at the top of the list! Rain X and Bob Heath anti fog are two of the best products and have worked for a number of years for myself and a number of others! - They also apply these to canopy race boat windscreens by the way.

I read somewhere that the surface has to be super-clean before applying Rain-X. I have had a bottle kicking around for ages and thought I might put some on the RIB screen, what is the best thing for cleaning it with? I have some lense cleaner designed for prescription glasses, would that be good or does that leave its own coating? Meths? Soapy water?

I just used to rinse it off and wipe dry with a soft cloth before applying it - worked fine! Meths might do nasty things to some plastics and soapy water might leave a film - plain water is best!

Thanks Guys!

I shall get some Rain-Ex. It sounds like exactly what I am looking for.

Regards,

Chris.

I just found this stuff in a motor factor so bought some to try it. Apparently it's a new product.

It does say don't use on plastics on it but I'm going to try it out on an old pair of plastic lensed glasses and an old bike visor to see if it's ok. If not I'll just use it on the car...
