Yes, a 150hp on the 5.8 should be lovely. Great choice and very sellable if you ever need.

I would think the Merc 115 would have a lot more low down grunt than the Yamaha.
2.1 litre motor against Yamaha a lot smaller c.c.
Also I think the Merc comes standard with Command thrust bottom end which is lower geared enabling it to spin a bigger prop And helping initial grunt more!
