Parts for a Avon SeaRider Rib

Hello everyone, firstly I would like to introduce my self to the forums.

I am Stuart Living in Hamble in Southampton and Just brought an Avon Sea Rider RIB 4m with a 50hp Merc outboard as a beginning boat.

I am having a whole lot of fun with her.

Is there I can buy parts for her, including a plastic screen, (as missing) etc?

I should be going the boat jumble in Beaulieu on 27th April.

Thanks for any help

Stuart

BHG marine in buckler's hard do avon parts, it may not be too expensive for a new one. Boat jumbles are probably your best bet though as you say. Try the old barge down by aladins cave, the chap in there is usually more than helpful.

Avon parts can be fiercely priced if the screen is too expensive consider making one or having one made in Plexiglas.

Or cheaper still get yourself a Gekko helmet with visor, that was my solution.

Stuart From the Itchen. was this the searider for sale at Aladins cave

I have access to large sheets of some clear robust material called 'Makrolon' which can be cut easily, folded cold and is flexible (looks similar to perspex but is not brittle at all). I can get it in 6mm and 8mm thicknesses. I am not sure if it is suitable for this application (maybe some one could advise?) but if you would like to try and make one and would like a sample or a bit large enough to attempt to replace your broken screen then let me know and I will see what I can do. I am only ten minutes from hamble, in eastleigh.
