The channel light vessel reports 22mph winds and 2ft waves - how on Earth could a 9m RIB cope with that............

Its telling a pack of lies, garden furniture has blown over, dustbin also gone over, bloody windy in the Solent this afternoon. Recon that was a good call by the Coast Guard, they would have been directly into a F6-7 all the way.

I think not - remember it takes time for the swells to build - mayeb you are just having a bad time of it locally?

Yesterday was one of the strangest weather conditions I have seen - Swansea was hot and sunny for most of the day - a thick sea fog rolled into Neath/Port talbot and it was a good 5C cooler with very poor viz - it rolled in so fast it was scary - only took about 5 mins at most.

Richard

I was down at Port Solent this morning having 'diverted' to the Marine Superstore on my way between our two offices.

have to admit I wandered round to see how Nauti buoy sat on the versadock whilst I still had the chance, and saw you leaning over your balcony looking at her. Didn't think it was the right time to disturb you.

Nasher.

Hi ya,

Don't think it was me because we face the other way towards Porchester Castle. They are planning on re-attempting the trip tomorrow at 1-2pm.

They did make me laugh this eveing chatting to them, because they did not come prepared to stay over for the night. So they popped into Tesco and bought a value pack of 3 boxer shorts for £5 for them to share between them and tube of tooth paste.

Sunday however at the mo is lookin ideal 2 mph Northerley but they want to go tomorrow.

Fingers crossed for them. See what tomorrow brings still gonna be breezy for them.

They are giving SW F2-3 for tommorow (sat) in the Channel Islands area. I look forward to seeing her in local waters, the 2nd of many I hope If all goes to plan I foresee her identical twin sister hitting Jersey later this year .
